This initiation led her to California, where she met Baba Hari Dass, a beloved silent monk and master yogi from the Himalaya .Immersing herself in the sacred teachings of Classical Ashtanga Yoga and Ayurveda as taught by Baba Hari Dass, Maya spent the majority of her adult life within Mount Madonna, a Yoga community & Retreat Center nestled in the redwood forest of the Santa Cruz

Myrica found yoga at the age of 16, which transformed her life and expanded her worldview profoundly. She has been studying, practicing and teaching Ayurveda since 1994.
