01Beginning Āsana
For the beginner Yoga practitioner, designed for those who are just beginning the practice of Āsana. The focus of this class is on posture mechanics, body alignment and the introduction of breath in movement. Postures, in a specific sequential order, are initially practiced slowly & mindfully, often with repetition. |
02Intermediate Āsana
For the committed Yoga practitioner, designed for those who have been practicing beginning Āsana consistently for at least 3 months. The focus of this class is on the 3 aspects of an Intermediate Āsana practice: comfort & ease, Triputi (synthesis of body, mind & breath) and the deliberate movement of the spine. Postures, in a specific sequential order, are practiced slowly, mindfully and with longer holds as we enhance the movement of prāṇa (life force energy) thru each Āsana. |
